….have in your make-up bag / cupboard wherever you put your products 🙂
This morning’s post is a follow up from last night’s ‘Mid-Week Must have’ over on my Facebook page (I will also add to my blog).
To the point – for years I have used a certain brand of ‘baby wipes’ to remove my make-up after a long day or mad night out on the town and I never really thought of what my skin was like after I removed it using these wipes, I thought the way my skin felt was normal?? But then, a good friend of mine introduced me to Micellar Cleansing Water – this changed my whole regime of my routine when removing my make-up! It is such a benefit to my skin, I don’t even know how I managed to go for so long without using it!
The brand I use is Garnier. They produce the cleansing water in a 125ml, 400ml and a 700ml bottle! My last purchase was the 700ml bottle and I got this from Superdrug and at a bargain! If I can recall properly, it was around £7.99 down to £5 / £4 or it was some kind of deal on Garnier products that day in store. When I first purchased the bottle however, I didn’t realise I was going to use it as much as I did! So, when I saw the deal on the big one I just had to get it! (Note: 400ml can be used up to 200 times – based on 2ml per cotton pad, so just imagine how many uses you could get out of a 700ml!) PS, I also bought the 700ml months ago and I only ran out of it last week!
If you feel the product’s you’re using at the moment don’t just quite hit the mark when it comes to cleansing, nourishing and hydrating the skin and you feel like you need to wash your face after using said products, then I would 100% advise you to purchase Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing water.
When using baby wipes I felt I always had to wash my face after using so many wipes, especially after a night out. This was clearly evident when I went to Amsterdam in March and had to take the wipes in my suitcase. I wore make-up everyday and without fail my skin felt dry, irritated and dirty every time I used them, YUCK!
Garnier have also made: Micellar Oil-infused Cleansing water and Micellar Cleansing water for Combination & Sensitive skin. It is a product that can be used whatever your skin type!
I absolutely loved this product and felt it had to get a post on it’s own. I usually follow my cleansing regime up with a lotion and a toner from another brand.
What is your favourite product to use when removing make-up?
By all means let me know in the comments! 🙂
